Kid Rock has been under fire since he was caught on camera using a homophobic slur and making crude gestures while performing at Tennessee bar over the weekend.
But the Detroit rocker, per usual, doesn’t seem to care.
Rock, whose real name is Bob Ritchie, doubled down on his use of the slur on Wednesday, posting a response to Twitter for his 636,400 followers and signing it with his real name.
“If Kid Rock using the word fa***t offends you, good chance you are one. Either way, I know he has a lot of love for his gay friends, and I will have a talk with him. Have a nice day. -Bob Ritchie,” the tweet reads.
The incident in question, initially reported by TMZ, took place at FishLipz Bar & Grill in Smithville, Tennessee.
The musician apparently didn’t want to be filmed so used the slur, flipped off the camera, grabbed his crotch and told the person filming him “you can post this.”
In 2019, he was filmed at his own bar in Nashville ranting about TV star Oprah Winfrey and others.
