Marvel's Black Widow is the first MCU film since 2019, and while the Disney+ shows have been keeping fans tided over, they want the big screen experience. That's why it's no surprise at all that Natasha Romanoff's solo outing has beaten the pandemic era record at the box office.
As reported by Variety, the film made over $80 million – estimated to be as high as $87 million – at the US box office in its opening weekend, soundly beating previous record-holder Fast 9, which did about $70 million in its opening weekend.
Black Widow's international box office was similarly impressive, earning another $78 million from 46 non-US markets.

But what about the Disney+ numbers, we hear you ask? Well, it's rare for streaming services to officially confirm these figures, but the House of Mouse has gone on record to announce that the film has made more than $60 million from people paying for Premier Access around the world.
Overall, Black Widow has made at least $218 million in its opening weekend. For comparison, Spider-Man: Far From Home did $580 million worldwide in its opening weekend in pre-pandemic times.
